I wanted to pass along this invitation from our friends at the Princeton Ski Club and MARS (Metropolitan Area Recumbent Society) for a short, friendly ride with lunch along the Henry Hudson Trail. This ride will meet up at 10:45 AM and start rolling at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015. There will likely be a full range of cycle types and everyone is welcome to ride. Riders,

There’s still plenty of nice weather left for biking, so let’s meet in Freehold for our final ride of the season and head north along the Henry Hudson rail trail. This is a good opportunity for those of you in Monmouth County to try one of our rides. We’ll be doing the southern portion of the trail, which is paved and should be suitable for all bikes. This trail segment is about 6 miles long, but there’s the option of extending the ride by continuing further north to the next trail segment. Lunch will be on Rt. 520 near the intersection of Rt. 79, where there are several places to eat.

As usual, we’ll meet at 10:45 AM and plan to start riding around 11. The starting point is at the parking lot for the Monmouth County Sheriff’s office and Care Center, which I think is also known as the John Montgomery Care Center, located at around 115 Dutch Lane Rd. in Freehold [geo coord. map link = 40.270722, -74.259177]. For those of you who are new, I’ll be the guy with a long red recumbent bike or yellow tandem recumbent.
